Welcome to our rental apartments in the heart of Troms – where fjords meet mountains. Here you’ll find the perfect base for unforgettable outdoor adventures. Close to Tromsø, but still remote. If you choose guided tour or not, we will try our best to give you a good experience.
Birdwatching and Nature Photography
The area offers rich and diverse birdlife – a true paradise for nature lovers and photographers. Bring your binoculars and camera, and capture unique moments in the Arctic light. Eagles are a common and majestic sight soaring over the mountains and fjord. If you want a tailored experience, i can arrange with guided hiking or transfer i 4x4 between sea and Forrest if needed. Our seahouse offers shelter, bonfire with hot meals, coffe and tea can be arranged. In the spring we recommend May month.

During the summer months, our fjords come alive with life, and the long, bright days offer perfect conditions for fishing. Whether you are an experienced angler or trying it for the first time, Balsfjord has something for you.
In these rich northern waters, it’s common to catch cod, haddock, and pollock. And if you're lucky, you might even hook a beautiful sea trout. The area offers a variety of fishing spots, both from shore and by boat.
Jarle knows several great places along the fjord where you can stand with a rod and cast into the deep, clear waters. He can also take you on a fishing adventure by boat – either in our smaller vessel or aboard our larger, traditional wooden boat for a more authentic experience.
Jarle is a certified guide with all the necessary safety equipment. All fishing gear is included, and he’ll make sure you have everything you need for a safe and memorable day on the water.
