Welcome to Ørnesbukta, our family’s homestead located in beautiful Balsfjord, just a 45-minute drive from Tromsø. I am Jarle Hemmingsen, and im excited to share a little piece of Norway with you as local Guide. I offer quality guiding packages exclusively for our guests at Aurora Panorama.

Our home, meaning "Eagle Bay" in English, lives up to its name — here you’ll find majestic eagles soaring overhead, along with a variety of birds and wildlife. The area is right next to a protected Ramsar wetland, famous for its migratory birds, and it’s also part of the moose migration route.

Each season here has something special to offer.
Spring (April-May) is magical as the snow melts and migratory birds return, filling the air with song and life.
Summer brings the bright season when the sun hardly sets, and the midnight sun creates unforgettable, enchanting nights.
Autumn marks the return of migratory birds again, and the forests become bursting with berries and mushrooms. It’s a magical time filled with vibrant colors in nature and in the sky, as the Northern Lights begin to dance and signal the coming of the dark season.

We’ve created cozy campfire spots and beautiful lookouts by both sea and forest, perfect for soaking in the stunning Norwegian nature.
